Description:
This attractive solid state introduces a whole new performance standard for receivers in the medium power range. With a new FET frontend for increased FM sensitivity, input terminals for both 75 and 300 ohm antennas, and an FM channel separation figure of better than 35db, it is perhaps the finest performing FM receiver ever made under 100 watts.
It's audio characteristics are also superb a power bandwidth from 20 to 40,000Hz, distortion factor of less than 1% at rated output and damping factor of 60 at 8 ohms. Other features include short-free output terminals for two complete speaker systems, a new type of noise canceler, automatic FM mono stereo switching with indication and the latest black window design.

RV HIFI says:
The Sansui 800 is a beloved model known for its rich tube sound and deep low-end bass. Despite its low output, it fills the room with a sense of bliss. The build quality of this 1968 unit is exceptional, with a solid construction built to withstand time. Its circuitry has been upgraded with new high-end capacitors, transistors and thoroughly inspected and serviced, speaker terminals upgraded to banana type posts. The wood veneer case was repaired due to age and sealed with high gloss finish.
A true representation of the golden era of Hi-Fi, where design and craftsmanship were unrivaled.
