All capacitors replaced with premium Nichicon FG range
Several resistors replaced
Small signal transistors replaced
All PCB boards washed, checked and re-soldered
Washed and treated all potentiometers with De-Oxit
New Gold RCA connectors
New gold speaker banana binding posts
Treated all RCA’s with De-Oxit
Treated all contacts points with De-Oxit
Washed and cleaned chassis
Cleaned and polished all alloy parts, fascia and knobs
Cover case sand-blasted and painted
Calibrated all adjustable measurements
New 240 volt AC power lead
Tested in excess of 10 hours

This Luxman MQ-860 power amplifier from 1970 is quiet rare and collectable these days, information on these units is also hard to obtain. We completely rebuilt this little gem with high quality parts and upgraded the RCA and speaker connections. The sound that the MQ-860 produces is quiet amazing, so much detail and very musical. This power-amp can be match with most pre-amps, can also connect it to most integrated amplifiers with Pre-out to run another set of speakers. The unit has some age marks and dents on the front face plate.
